Abstract (in another language): Object of studying is sewage sludge of biological treatment facilities of the enterprise for production of mineral fertilizers “Grodno Azot”. Physical, chemical and microbiological characteristics of sewage sludge are given in the article, and also their influence on environment. It is revealed that humidity of sewage sludge decreases during their storage. The content of mineral substances remains stable and organic increases. The contents of macrond microelements as a part of sewage sludge and regularity of their changes in storage process are defined. As a result of storage the quantity of aerobic microorganisms and bacteria of group of an intestinal stick is reduced, and also dehydrogenase and catalase activity decreases. Results of work can be used for development of the specifications and technical documentation on sludge, which are prepared for use (reclamation of the broken lands).
