Abstract: Displacement technique was applied to deposit Ag on porous silicon (PS) template that provided a metal film nanoroughness. Morphology of the obtained samples was studied with scanning electron microscopy. The Ag layer presented 81 quasi-continuous film consisted of the particles of the diameter of 70–150 nm. An average distance between such NPs varied in the range 100-200 nm and the gaps between them were filled by nanoparticles (NPs) of the 15-25 nm diameter touched each other. The connection of the NPs should promote the plasmon coupling. Therefore, strong local field enhancement areas (so-called “hot spots”) appear. Raman spectra of samples impregnated with copper porphyrin (CuTMPyP4(%)) solution were taken and their dependences on the PS morphology and Ag deposition regimes were determined. The intensity of the SERS signal was estimated at 441,6 nm laser radiation from the amplitude of the 1366 cm–1 line in the spectrum of CuTMPyP4(%) and the maximum was found from PS after 120 min of Ag deposition
