Abstract (in another language): In this paper the results of finite element modeling of the maxillary expansion of the human skull are present. Determine the equivalent stresses in the bones of the maxillary complex, and at the contact of the upper jaw and bone. The distance between the plates of the device and the palate is different. Simulation of the skull and upper jaw is made on the basis of the spiral CT intact dry skull adult. As the distance between the plates and the palate distribution of equivalent stresses in the skull changes significantly. The results can be used for the design of Hyrax orthodontic appliances to suit the individual patient
