| Abstract: | Исследуется традиция сочинения ирландских исторических песен, делается вывод: ирландские песни отражают историю своей страны с точностью, имеющей очень мало аналогов в мире, что просматривается на примере песен современных ирландских республиканцев, посвященных значительным событиям новейшей ирландской истории. |
| Abstract (in another language): | The article studies the tradition of composing Irish historical songs or «national ballads» as they are called in Ireland. The fact that this tradition has been alive continuously for a score of generations means that Ireland's songs reflect Ireland’s history with a fidelity probably unparalleled in the world. It can be seen clearly in today’s Irish republican ballads, which describe all significant events of the modern Irish history. |
