| Abstract (in another language): | The article reveals the reasons of the origin of professional defenders in the Great Duchy of Lithuania and stages of their evolution. The author considers the activation of socio-economic process, reforming of social relations to be the key factors in the process of the origin of professional defenders. First defenders worked in the system of central courts, then - in central and local courts. |
