Abstract: The possibility of use of an electrode based on Sn4* tetraphenylporphyrin complex with lipophilic anionic additive - potassium tetrakis (p-chlorophenyl) borate, demonstrating high selectivity to the benzoate-ions, for the determination of the mentioned ions in different objects was investigated. The methods of direct potentiometic determination of benzoate ions in non-alcoholic drinks and in the components of diagnostic sets, characterized by high precision and expression, were worked out.
