Abstract: The technique of lead sulphide (PbS) synthesis was elaborated. Researches of electroresistance of polycrystallic PbS under the influence of temperature up to 500 K and pressure up to 5 GPa with the purpose of its usage as registration-point substance - pressure calibrant were carried out. The dependence of breadth of forbidden zone on pressure for the low and high pressure phases was evaluated. It was determined, that the conductance of the high-pressure phase have the semiconductor character.
