Abstract: The system analysis of the data of complex geographical investiga­tions was assumtd a basis of this research. Finally the appropriateness of the evolution of water reservoirs of different types was obtained; the stages of consistent evolution of separate processes (of hollows formation, coasts and beds formation, hydrochemical regime, the silting and the overgrowing of water reservoir beds) and water reservoirs evolution. The carried out re­search has permitted to formulate the hydrologic-morphological theory of coastal process and theory of development of limno-systems on lakes, to substantiate the general scientific well founded theory of hydro-ecosystem evolution, to obtain the models of coastal development and the silting and the overgrowing of water reservoir s beds.
