| Abstract: | The correlation between the intensity of lipid peroxidation, the contents of some biologically active metals and the state of antioxidant system in rat liver under extrahepatic cholestasis was investigated. It has been shown that oxidative stress in the liver of bile duct ligated rats accompanied by disturbance of homeostasis of biologically active metals. The results suggest that oxidative stress may contribute substantially to the pathogenesis of cholestasis. |
