| Abstract: | The data on the number of species of animals in Byelorussian fauna is summarized. Fauna of Vertebrata is good investigated: 61 species of fishes, 12 species of amphibian, 7 species of reptiles, 307 species of birds and 76 species of mammals are recorded. Fauna of Invertebrata is not sufficiently investigated with the exception of several orders of insects: Heteroptera - 450, Coleoptera - 3240, Lepidoptera - 1620 species. To estimate the taxonomical diversity of the rest of taxons the deep investigation is reguired in the future. |
