| Abstract: | Независимость Беларуси ознаменовала собой новый этап в развитии общественных организаций страны и ее профсоюзов в частности. Крупнейшим профсоюзным центром, представляющим Беларусь на международной арене, была Федерация профсоюзов Беларуси. В начале 1990-х гг. существенно были изменены формы, направления, цели и механизмы ее международной деятельности. Отказавшись от политических целей, Федерация профсоюзов Беларуси сконцентрировала свое внимание на защите социально-экономических интересов трудящихся, обмене опытом, привлечении информационной, технической и материальной помощи в решении различных проблем. С этой целью она устанавливала отношения с партнерскими организациями стран СНГ, Западной и Центральной Европы, Юго-Восточной Азии, международными объединениями профсоюзов, неправительственными объединениями. |
| Abstract (in another language): | The independence of Belarus marked a new stage in the development of non-governmental organisations of the country and its trade unions, in particular. The largest trade union center representing Belarus in the international arena was the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus. In the early 1990s, forms, directions, goals and mechanisms of its international activities were changed signifi cantly. Having renounced its political goals, the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus has focused on protecting social and economic interests of the working people, exchanging experience, attracting information, technical and fi nancial assistance in solving various problems. To this end, it established relations with partner organisations of the CIS countries, Western and Central Europe, Southeast Asia, international trade unions, and non-governmental associations. |
