| Abstract: | Анализируются и изучаются основные историографические англоязычные работы, связанные с местом и ролью женщины в раннесредневековой Англии. Рассмотрены статьи, написанные в период с 1950-х гг. и вплоть до настоящего времени. При анализе данных работ была выявлена и обоснована необходимость написания общей работы, которая будет способна вобрать в себя достижения последних лет и свести их в единую систему, так как единственная вышедшая за этот период полноценная обобщающая работа по теме – монография Кристины Фелл «Женщины в англосаксонской Англии» – не соответствует требованиям современной медиевистики, а работы, увидевшие свет позже, имеют очень узкую направленность избираемых тем. |
| Abstract (in another language): | The article analyzes and studies the main historiographical English-language works related to the place and role of women in early feudal England. There are considered articles written in the period from the 1950s up to the present time. In the analysis of these works has been identified the necessity of writing a general work, able to absorb the achievements of recent years and combine them in a single system, because the only published during this period full generalizing work on the subject, the monograph of Christina Fell «Women in Anglo-Saxon England» does not meet the requirements of modern Medieval studies, and the works that appeared after Fellʼs monograph have a very narrow focus on the chosen topics. |
