Abstract: The features of light waves transformation in nonlinear epsilon-near-zero metamaterial are considered in the effective medium approximation. It is established that the Kerr nonlinearity results in increasing the propagation constant, decreasing the propagation losses, and the reduction of differences in phase shifts for the waves which fall on metamaterial at various angles.
