Abstract: Nowadays the education systems are developing in accordance with the national and international strategies targeting the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) which determines that each university’s programme has to include the knowledge, skills and values necessary for living responsibly and prosperously in a limited world. The authors have identified five support measures to implement education for sustainable development strategies: Data Science Centers (DSC) creation, development of curriculum / training courses for the advanced training, teachers’ professional competence improvement, the institutional capacity building of universities and extra-curriculum activities supporting to get competencies necessary for sustainable development
