Abstract: This paper presents theoretical and experimental studies into the transformation patterns of the spatial structure of Bessel light beams propagating in dye solutions. Based on a theoretical analysis and numerical solution of the Lagrangian-form motion equations for continuous media and heat conduction equation, and also with the use of Lorentz-Lorenz formula, the spatial profiles for the formed circular diffraction structures of the refractive index have been computed, their excitation and relaxation kinetics has been considered. Self-diffraction of a Bessel light beam from the diffraction structures formed in dye solutions has been studied experimentally; the far-field Bessel light beam structures have been analyzed; the conditions for observation of the self-action effects due to the dye solution absorption saturation have been established.
