SO42−. = Highdispersed SnO2 powders were obtained from tin(II) sulphate by two methods: hydrolysis via formation of Sn(OН)2 and thermal decomposition of SnSO4 powder using various heat treatment modes. Structure of the samples was studied by XRD, FTIR and EPR spectroscopies. The SnO2 powdered samples were tested as sensitive layers in thick film sensors for detection of СО and СН4 gases. It was shown, that the SnO2 thick film sensors possess the highest gas sensitivity in the case when SO42− complexes bidentate connected with Sn4+ ion are formed on the tin dioxide surface. |
