| Abstract: | The study was focused on the structure of phytoplankton of lakes of Valaam islands. The phytoplankton biomass varied from 0,1 to 105,2 g m-3 in the different lakes. Raphidophyta was the dominant group of phytoplankton in the majority of lakes. The chlorophyll a concentration varied over a wide range (0,87 до 109,2 mkg/l).
