Abstract: Species richness of macrobenthic invertebrates at the 7 sites in the littoral zone of the Drisviaty Lake was presented with 112 lower-identified taxa (LITs). The lake warming during 25 years has caused the disappearance of three relict crustacean species but not much affected the species composition of benthic macroinvertebrates. Phytoperiphyton species richness was presented with 220 LITs, three species were new for algal flora of Belarus. The periphyton community structure had no significant temporal-spatial differences and was typical for mesotrophic lakes in temperate latitudes. Multivariate analysis showed that the time-space structure of benthic communities was determined mainly by habitats’ patterns. The current ecological state of the Drisviaty Lake, evaluated with the WFD EC criteria, corresponds to the β-mesosaprobic level
