Abstract:	We have summarized the results of an integrated study of the freshwater biota in the Polar Urals Lakes. The species composition, quantitative-structural data and indicators of algae, zooplankton, zoobenthos and fish population have been inventoried. It revealed a relatively high diversity of aquatic communities that exist in the harsh environmental condition in the zone of their contact on the border watersheds of the rivers Kara, Pechora and Ob
