Abstract

The article shows the difference in creative works of Hesiod and Homer. Hesiod depicted «the worship of gods» and unlike Homer interrupted the connection between five generations of men and deprived kings of their beliefs in their privilege to be born directly from gods. Hesiod insisted that both he and his brother Perses, a descendant of Zeus like all the Greeks, had been created by gods. Zeus overthrew his father in war between gods, however he did not usurped the letter's power himself but was elected by gods as «the father of gods and all the men». = Обращается внимание на различие творчества Гесиода и Гомера. В отличие от Гомера Гесиод изобразил «почитание богов» так, что прервал связь между пятью поколениями людей и лишил царей верований о привилегии рождения их непосредственно от богов. Гесиод утверждал также, что и Перс, его брат, - потомок Зевса, как и все греки, были сотворены богами. Зевс с помощью войны богов сверг отца, однако сам власть не захватил, но был выбран богами «отцом богов и людей».
