Abstract: Hierarchical approach to simulation of carbon nanotube properties is discussed. Results of finite element method (FEM) simulation of resonant excitation of the vibrations of carbon nanotubes and their bundles by microwave electromagnetic fields due to ponderomotive forces are presented and discussed from the viewpoint of nanoradio design.
