Утопия в исторической перспективе

Abstract

The article deals with the problem of the influence of Utopian thinking on social and political life. Reliable published information on the phenomenon of Utopian thinking and Utopian works has been applied in the article. The theories about Utopian writing seem to quite adequately explain the origin of Utopian projects as a fantasy, a dreaming for a better life and a better world. The problem largely deals with determination of meaning of the Utopian consciousness in modern time. Knowledge of the nature of Utopian thinking can be used to ward off tragedies, when people went over useless and unreal dreams. We don’t know yet whether this is the true role of Utopianism in modern political life. Knowledge of consequences of Utopian influence on social and political life hasn’t yet been obtained in the practice.
