Abstract

Starting from the earliest stages of folklore development, the traditional calendar-and-ritual song of the Belarusians includes an aesthetic component. In the history of the Belarusian culture the song is first of all an indicator of national self-consciousness. In the sphere of aesthetic thought it reveals a close link with the «Laugh Culture» of the European Middle Ages and the Renaissance. = Традиционная календарно-обрядовая песня белорусов включает в себя эстетическую компоненту, начиная с самых ранних стадий развития фольклора. В истории культуры Беларуси песня выступает, прежде всего, как показатель национального самосознания. В сфере эстетической мысли она обнаруживает тесную связь со смеховой культурой европейского Средневековья и Возрождения.
