Abstract

Артыкул разглядае пазіцыю шляхты Вялікага княства Літоўскага (ВКЛ) адносна войнаў Рэчы Паспалітай са Шведскім каралеўствам у першай трэці XVII ст. Дынастычная барацьба прадстаўнікоў дому Вазаў вылілася ў шэраг войнаў, мэтай якіх стала і панаванне на Балтыцы. Надзвычай актуальнай праблема ўласнай бяспекі падчас гэтых войнаў была для ВКЛ. Непасрэдная пагроза ад нападаў ворага, цяжар фінансавага забеспячэння ваенных кампаній, дзеянні жаўнераў, неатрымаўшых жалаванне, — асноўныя прычыны, якія абумовілі стаўленне шляхты ВКЛ да канфлікту Рэчы Паспалітай са Швецыяй. У асноўным шляхта Княства раіла Жыгімонту ІІІ Вазе адмовіцца ад сваіх прэтэнзій і скончыць канфлікт са Шведскім каралеўствам шляхам заключэння мірнага пагаднення. Палітычная эліта ВКЛ уплывала на ход ваенных кампаній. Паказальным у гэтым плане з’яўляецца заключэнне мірных пагадненняў прадстаўнікамі ВКЛ у 1622 і 1627 гг. Апошняе тлумачыцца надзвычай цяжкім становішчам Княства, якое падчас войнаў са Швецыяй несла асноўны цяжар іх наступстваў. международные отношения. = The article considers the position of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania gentry towards the wars between Rzech Pospolita and the Kingdom of Sweden in the fi rst thirty years of the 17th century. The dynastic struggle of the representatives of the Vasas resulted in a number of wars which also aimed at gaining power in the Baltic region. The most important issue for the Grand Duchy of Lithuania during these wars was the problem of safeguarding its own security. A direct threat from the enemy attacks, the diffi culties of fi nancing military campaigns, actions of soldiers, who did not get their payment, — these are the main reasons, which determined the position of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania gentry towards the confl ict between Rzech Pospolita and Sweden. Generally the gentry of the Duchy advised Zhygymont III Vasa to give up his claims and to end the confl ict with the Kingdom of Sweden by means of concluding a peace treaty. The political elite of the Grand Duchy affected the military campaigns. Concluding peace treaties by the representatives of the Grand Duchy in 1622 and 1627 can demonstrate it. The latter is explained by the extremely hard situation of the Duchy which during the wars with Sweden carried the main burden of their consequences.
