| Abstract: | This article examines revised provisions of old-generation bilateral investment treaties generated by the new international investment regime. It offers the analysis of changes in the regulation of investors’ rights and obligations, dispute resolution mechanisms and processes as well as renewed approaches to defining investments and indirect expropriation. The author identifies and discusses difficulties associated with the development of new-generation investment treaties and offers the development of a global guideline as a solution to facilitate the reform of international investment treaties |
