Abstract: The fireproof ceramics based on the stabilized ZrO2 has been investigated in this work as the high pressure cell (HPC) material. The HPC details has been saturated with CsCl for the improvement of their mechanical properties and pressure transmission to the synthesis zone. The change of porosity in consequence of saturation has been studied. The spatial distribution of CsCl has been investigated by the electron microprobe. The theoretical calculation of the CsCl distribution and the vaIue of the residual porosity has been carried out on the base of percolation theory. The results of calculation are in a good agreement with the experimental data.
