Abstract

Comparing life circumstances and scientific development of the two famous professors, who came to Minsk from various Russian cities and towns in order to participate in the organization of the activities of the Belarusian State University, the author of the article analyses objective and subjective factors of the adaptation of the «old» Russian intellectuals to new conditions of the post-revolutionary time as well as to the nation formation processes, which took place in Belarus in the 20s and to the policy of the Soviet government in the USSR and the BSSR.
