dc.description.abstractThe paper presents the results of investigating the microstructure and phase composition of a surface layer formed in iron on its exposure to hightemperature nitrogen-containing plasma. It is established that the surface layer structure is composed of nitrous martensite. The nitrogen content of the layer is estimated to be 0.2 mass %.ru
