| Abstract: | В работе рассмотрены особенности асинхронности и параллелизма в Android-разработке. Показано различие между конкурентностью и параллельным выполнением задач, а также ограничения однопоточной модели Android. Проанализированы эволюция подходов от потоков и колбэков до RxJava и современного использования Kotlin Coroutines и Flow. Подчеркивается важность асинхронности для обеспечения отзывчивости интерфейса, корректной работы с сетью и базами данных, а также роль WorkManager в долгоживущих процессах. Сделан вывод о том, что асинхронность является фундаментом для построения надежных, масштабируемых и высокопроизводительных Android-приложений |
| Abstract (in another language): | The article examines the features of asynchrony and parallelism in Android development. It highlights the difference between concurrency and parallel task execution, as well as the limitations of Android’s single-threaded model. The evolution of approaches is analyzed, from threads and callbacks to RxJava and the modern use of Kotlin Coroutines and Flow. The importance of asynchrony is emphasized for ensuring UI responsiveness, reliable network and database operations, as well as the role of WorkManager in long-running processes. It is concluded that asynchrony serves as the foundation for building reliable, scalable, and high-performance Android applications |
