dc.description.abstract	В статье анализируются вызовы безопасности, создаваемые США для развития Шанхайской организации сотрудничества (ШОС) в Центральной Азии. Подчеркивается, что Китай и Россия стали основателями этой организации, тогда как Соединенные Штаты после 11 сентября значительно увеличили свое присутствие в регионе, стремясь ослабить позиции России. Рассматриваются два различных подхода к развитию ШОС: углубление экономического сотрудничества, предлагаемое Китаем, и акцент на вопросы безопасности, который делает Россия. Соединенные Штаты воспринимают растущее китайское влияния в Центральной Азии как угрозу и уделяют особое внимание контролю над ситуацией и противодействию Китаю в своих стратегических планах

dc.description.alternative	The article analyses the security challenges posed by the US to the development of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in Central Asia. It emphasizes that China and Russia are the founders of this organization, while after September 11th, the United States significantly increased its presence in the region, aiming to weaken Russia’s position. Two different approaches to SCO’s development are considered: deepening economic cooperation proposed by China, and a focus on security issues advocated by Russia. The United States perceive growing Chinese influence in Central Asia as a threat and pays special attention to controlling the situation and countering China in their strategic plans
