| dc.description.abstract | Sustainable development aims to achieve coordinated economic, social and environmental development for current and future generations, emphasising the unity of economic growth, social equity and environmental protection. The article explores its application to China's economic transformation and regional development. Taking Northeast China as an example, it illustrates the adverse impacts of the traditional heavy industry development model on the resources and environment, and the importance of sustainable development in solving this problem. In addition, the article highlights the pioneering role of the Southeast region as a model for sustainable development and points out the challenges of social equity and resource conservation in the Western region. The article summarizes the importance of sustainable development for China's economic and social development and the key paths to the future achieving sustainable development | |
