Abstract: | Having studied abundant academic sources, the author shows the interpretation of the international relations evolution after the end of the Cold War by American experts. Despite the differences in academic opinion, the existence of a common concept of the US global leadership is confirmed. The author agrees with the Russian researcher T. Shakleina who identifies three interpretations of the concept: "hard" hegemony, "reasonable leadership", "loose" hegemony. At the same time in the post-Cold War period, the trend of transition from the confrontational bipolar world to a multipolar world has developed. International relations of the XXI century should be based on mechanisms of collective solution of key issues, the priority of law and wide democratization of international relations. |
