| Abstract: | Статья раскрывает процесс подготовки к путешествию по Западной Двине полоцких кадет во главе с учителем гимнастики А. Полторацким, в том числе тренировки по физической выносливости, постройку ялов «Рогнеда» и «Константин», сбор информации и разработку маршрута. Анализ изданных воспоминаний о путешествии дает разнообразную информацию о взаимоотношениях в педагогической среде Полоцкого кадетского корпуса, об уровне осведомленности по истории и этнографии региона, в том числе отношении руководителя экспедиции А. Полторацкого к местному населению. Отдельно рассматривается реакция представителей различных социальных групп на кадетское путешествие. |
| Abstract (in another language): | The article reveals the process of preparing for a trip to the Western Dvina of the Polotsk cadets led by gymnastics teacher A. Poltoratsky, including physical endurance training, construction of the «Rogneda» and «Konstantin» barns, information collection and route development. An analysis of published travel memoirs provides a variety of information about the relationship in the pedagogical environment of the Polotsk cadet corps, about the level of awareness of the history and ethnography of the region, including the attitude of the expedition leader A. Poltoratsky to the local population. Separately, the reaction of representatives of various social groups to the cadet journey is considered. |
