Abstract

Object of research – residual value of vehicles. Purpose of the research: to analyze the current situation in the field of electric vehicles and subsequently propose a method for the calculation of the residual value of electric trucks. Research methods: logical and system analysis, comparative analysis, hy-pothesis review, expert evaluation, forecast calculations. Obtained results and their novelty: the explanation of the technological differences of electric vehicles compared to conventional ones, the overview of the current market situation and definition of the eclectic vehicle target customers, the explanation of the general concept of residual value, as well as the analysis of factors influencing its formation, and the proposal of a methodology for calculating the residual value of electric trucks. Area of possible practical application: the material of the paper could be used to calculate the residual value of electric trucks at their market introduction stage as well as it could be used as a basis for the further development of a tailor-made residual value calculation method.
