Abstract: Stereochemistry of 5-chlornonanone-4 and 4-chloroctanone-3 reduction by fungi Mortierella isabellina and yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae was investigated. The optically pure diastereomers of corresponded α-chlorhydrines with S-configuration of carrying OH-group carbon atom was received as a result.
