dc.description.abstract	On the basis of the comparative method of analysis we analyzed transformations on the lexical level of the language in translation of Dan Brown’s novels “The Da Vinci Code” and “Angels and demons”. The proper names were the subjects to more detailed analysis, because these lexical units have always raised many controversial points in the theory and practice of translation.
