Das Erlernen einer Fremdsprache erweitert dieses Modell, indem es die Kommunikation mit einer fremden Kultur gewährleistet. «Interkulturelle Kommunikation» ist heute ein Modewort. Das Ziel des kommunikativen Fremdsprachenunterrichts ist der Erwerb kommunikativer Kompetenz, um eine Verständigung zu garantierten.
