Abstract

In modern conditions of market economy, in order to ensure the effective functioning of an industrial enterprise, it is necessary to have material inventories, which are one of its most expensive assets, therefore they determine its policy of behavior in the market and affect the level of its supply chains management. Ensuring the high level and quality of material inventories necessary for the continuous and rhythmic functioning of the production process and competitiveness is the key to the success of any enterprise. It is necessary to develop effective strategies and clear inventory management systems of material inventories to maintain their optimal level, since their understating or overstating leads to tangible losses for the enterprise.
