Abstract: Photoreduction of aromatic ketones in polymeric matrices initiates a formation of surface photorelieves under thermal annealing. We have revealed that polymeric layers containing aromatic ketones of planar molecular structure (xanthone, anthrone) can demonstrate a transformation of positive photorclief to negative one. This phenomenon occurs at annealing temperatures close to vitrification temperature of polymeric matrix and improves a reproducibility of high spatial frequences of periodic photorelieves.
