Abstract

The effects of the plasticizer and cation-exchanger nature as well as the effects of introduction of the cations neutral carrier info the membrane, on the selectivity of the electrodes reversible to alkaline and alkaline earth metals cations have been studied. It has been established that all the factors above can effect essentially the ISEs selectivity thus clearing the ways for smooth changing of the potentiometric selectivity by means of the variation of the membranes composition. The obtained results are of immediate practical interest for the development of electrodes with adjusted selectivity and ross­sensitivity that are required for the creation of the «electronic tongue» - type multisensor system.
