Abstract: The enhancement of photocurrent generation has been found to occur at the illuminated semiconductor TiO2 electrode exposed to the ultrasound. It has been shown theoretically that the observed effect can be attributed to the increase of electron transfer rate at the «semiconductor/electrolyte» interface as the result of lowering of solvent reorganization energy at the sites at the electrode surface were the asymmetrical collapse of cavitation babbles occurs.
