Abstract

This article deals with ethnonyms, politonyms and confessionyms that are found in Latin lyrical-epic monuments of our country of the Renaissance. Semantic transformations within the given lexical group depended directly on a specific political situation and reflected accurately corresponding conceptions of the citizens. The State Union of Lublin of 1569 caused the significant changes in the ways of their ethnic and national self-identification. It’s related directly to the national self-consciousness forming process of Belarusian, Lithuanian, Polish and Ukraine nations and determines the genesis of numerous political components of Central and Eastern Europe life.
