dc.description.abstractThe effects of the ionic equilibrium states of polymethine dyes (PD) in low-polarity organic dyes on photostability have been considered. The relationship between the quantum efficiency of irreversible phototransformations of PD and the yield of the singlet oxygen production by different ionic forms has been established. It has been found that the yield of singlet oxygen is higher for PD molecules with anions containing heavy atoms or with anions contributing to displacement of the ionic equilibrium with a tendency to increase a fraction of contact ion pairs.ru
