Abstract

Language data represented in electronic form have significant research potential in the pa­radigm of Applied Linguistics. Saturation of Computer­Mediated Communication (CМC) and artificial formal languages creates a kind of semiotic background of human communication. Metalinguistic Indexing is the parameterization of texts in terms of formalization, derivation, semantics, contextuality. One of the strategic issues in this context is the method of forming the material base of research and the adequacy of existing traditional linguistic requirements and standards. Linguistically­relevant characteristics of the text sphere of CМC are complex and have lingvo­inforvational format, for example, in the Internet. Inter­ and multidisciplinary features of functioning of Computer­Mediated Discourse play significant role.
