Abstract: The paper summarizes the results of the investigations on the kinetics and mechanisms of photoelectrochemical processes at the non-stoichiometric semiconductor oxides (Ti02, WO3, CdO) and polymethyne dye polymeric aggregates. The effect of inhomogenity inherent in heavily doped oxides on their electro- and photoelectrochemical behaviour, the role of exciton and photohole mobility in the formation of the photoelectrochemical response of the molecular aggregates, and the peculiarities of charge collection in nanostructurated oxide and dye films are discussed.
