Аннотация: The article assesses the use of digital technologies by students of higher educational institutions. As part of the study, we analyzed the indicators on the use of personal computers by students in different places, the use of computers with Internet access and the frequency of use of personal computers. It was found that, basically, students daily use personal computers with Internet access in places of residence, but this indicator in urban areas is higher than in rural areas. To eliminate the digital divide, it was proposed to introduce satellite Internet, which will increase the number of students living in rural areas using the Internet, as well as other areas of activity and industries located in rural areas or in remote areas will be provided with the Internet.

Аннотация: The presented study is devoted to the assessment of the transport complex of the Eurasian Economic Union and the formation of conditions for its digital transformation. As part of the work done, it was revealed that the transport complexes of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union were created during the period of centralized government and directive planning of the transport industry. The analyzed indicators of the transport system of the Union showed an increase in the volume traffic. At the same time, it was found in the work that further convergence of transport complexes is required to increase the efficiency of the supranational transport industry. The study proposed a model of digital transformation of the transport complex of the Eurasian Economic Union, which will ensure further convergence of the transport industry and increase the efficiency of the entire supranational complex.

Modes of Innovation: A Grounded Meta-Analysis Apanasovich N.

Заглавие документа: Modes of Innovation: A Grounded Meta-Analysis Apanasovich N.
Авторы: Apanasovich, N.
Аннотация: This study takes a meta-analysis drawing on components of grounded theory approach to provide a more comprehensive analysis and synthesis of studies on modes of innovation, in particular, on the science, technology, and innovation (STI) and doing, using, and interacting (DUI) modes. This research provides a meta-analytical review of research purposes, methodologies and investigates the existing inconsistencies in findings of relevant qualitative and quantitative studies from 2007 to 2014. The majority of studies aim at investigating modes of learning and innovation and identifying the most effective mode. In addition, firms in different country contexts, which combine the STI and DUI forms of learning, are more likely to innovate. The implications of meta-analysis are intended to benefit policy makers, researchers, and practitioners. © 2014, Springer Science+Business Media New York.

The impact of business innovation modes on SME innovation performance in post-Soviet transition economies: The case of Belarus

Заглавие документа: The impact of business innovation modes on SME innovation performance in post-Soviet transition economies: The case of Belarus
Авторы: Apanasovich, N.; Alcalde Heras, H.; Parrilli, M.D.
Аннотация: This study analyzes the most effective innovation modes (‘science and technology-based innovation’, STI, and ‘doing, using and interacting-based innovation’, DUI) for business innovation performance in the context of post-Soviet Transition Economies (PSTE). Their specificities are expected to influence both their business innovation modes and their impact on innovation output. In particular, we aim at identifying the specificities of PSTE in that the DUI mode alone (and its specific drivers) is more relevant than the STI mode alone (and its drivers). In our hypothesis, this outcome should be even stronger in the context of non-technological types of innovation (e.g. organizational innovation).
