Аннотация: The conditions of excitation of a special surface wave at the boundary of an isotropic medium and a hyperbolic metamaterial with Kerr nonlinearity are found. The main feature of this wave is non-exponential decay of the amplitude when moving off the boundary. The dependencies of the energetic characteristics of the wave on the propagation constant and the depth of penetration inside metamaterial are established and analyzed.</summary>

Аннотация: Accurate evaluation of electric dipole (E1) transition probabilities in exciplexes formed by an alkali atom (M) and rare gas (Rg) atom(s) is essential for modelling optically pumped M–Rg laser media. We present a simple finite-difference scheme of ab initio calculations of E1 transition moments in the RbAr exciplex in the frames of relativistic Fock space coupled cluster approach.</summary>

Аннотация: The study of electroweak boson pair production is a powerful test of the spontaneously broken gauge symmetry of the Standard Model (SM) and can be used to search for phenomena beyond the SM. New heavy neutral bosons Z ′ decaying to charged gauge boson pairs W+W− are predicted by many scenarios of new physics, including models with extended gauge sector. The diboson production allows to place stringent constraints on the Z ′ boson parameters such as Z−Z ′ mixing angle and Z ′ mass, MZ′ . We find that the present bounds on the Z −Z ′ mixing angle obtained with data comprised of 13.2 fb−1 of pp collisions at √ s = 13 TeV and recorded by ATLAS detector at the CERN LHC are quite competitive with those derived from the global analysis of the electroweak data.</summary>

Аннотация: We have solved the problem of transparent nanoparticle motion under the action of a gradient component of light pressure force in a field of periodically modulated intensity of continuous laser radiation. For different initial values of particle coordinate and speed, we have found and numerically analyzed the exact solutions of the equation of motion described by the elliptic integrals of the first kind. The simple approximate expressions for the nanoparticle trajectory are obtained as a result of series expansion of the integrand in elliptic integrals. It is shown that depending on initial conditions, two different regimes are possible – harmonic motion and translatory motion with nanoparticle localization in one of the maxima of radiation interference pattern.</summary>
