Abstract: | Light-current and tuning characteristics of semiconductor injection lasers in an external cavity are analyzed. The active region of the lasers is an asymmetric multiple quantum-well heterostructure under conditions of non-uniform excitation. Such a design of laser diodes results in a wide range tunable emission spectrum. |
