Abstract: | It was proposed to use a concept of «effective redox potential» for the quantitative description of physical and chemical parameters of cellular oxidation-reduction state. Effective redox potential was calculated on the basis of thermodynamic ideas with use of the Nernst equation. The contribution of different oxidative and reductive reagents in the formation of effective redox potential was determined. The theoretical estimation of cellular redox potentials values for the different types of cellular activity was carried out with use of developed method. On the basis of own and literature data the dependence of the functional cellular state on intracellular redox potential values was established. |
